These Terms and Conditions Mom & Pop Services govern your use of our cleaning and maintenance services, website www.mom-n-popservices.com, and any related communications or transactions. By engaging with our services, you agree to these Terms.

 

Services Offered:

Mom & Pop Services is a licensed and insured, family-owned business proudly serving North Brevard County, Florida. Specializing in both residential and commercial cleaning (Office, Airbnb, etc.), routine maintenance, and property care solutions tailored to each client's needs. Our services include general housekeeping, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, pressure washing, minor repairs, painting, lawncare, other handyman services and seasonal upkeep. Whether you're a homeowner, landlord, business owner, or property manager, we offer dependable, detail-oriented service with a personal touch.

 

Scheduling & Cancellations:

  • Appointments must be scheduled in advance via phone, text, or in person. All services are scheduled based on availability and client needs. Recurring services take priority due to a pre-established arrangement for service dates and times. All other one-time services will be scheduled on the next available date and time.

  • Mom & Pop Services understand that emergencies happen at the most inconvenient time, therefore we do NOT charge a fee for cancelation like many larger companies will do. However, we do request that you respect our busy schedule by notifying us of your need to cancel ASAP, however, preferably at least 24 hours prior to the date and time of your service. Please note providing that you have the need to reschedule your appointment, we may not be able to reschedule your appointment as soon or on the most convenient day due to other appointments that are already scheduled. It would need to be the next available date/time, we will not change someone else's appointment to accommodate your change.

Payments & Fees:

  • Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Zelle payments MUST be submitted at the completion of service, PRIOR to our departure. Late payments are no longer accepted unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
  • Accepted payment methods include cash, personal check (made out to: "Mom & Pop Services"), major credit/debit cards, Zelle, and cash app.

  • Returned checks are subject to a $35 fee. (NOTE: If a second check is returned, for future payments moving forward we will require a cash payment ONLY for our continued service.)

  • Failure to pay for services will immediately terminate future services indefinitely. Furthermore, Mom & Pop Services will seek legal counsel due to "Non-Payment of Services Rendered" law in the state of Florida. 

 

  • Housekeeping services are customized to meet each client's unique needs and preferences. Before establishing a recurring cleaning schedule, we may recommend an initial deep cleaning to set a consistent baseline for maintaining the cleanliness of your home on a regular basis. This ensures that ongoing maintenance is effective, and your home remains in excellent condition. Deep cleaning estimates are not the same price as your recurring clean estimate due to the extensive cleaning involved and time required in restoring order to your home.

 

  • Charges and rates will vary based on the job details, size, and duration required to complete. You will be notified in advance rather your estimate is charged by the hour, including our rate; or an estimate that is a flat fee for the job.

 

  • Materials needed to complete the job may or may not be included in your estimated cost; your estimate will clarify these details. Some materials will occasionally be provided by you, or we may purchase the items on your behalf and require you to remit payment in advance for the cost of materials, prior to starting the job.

 


Satisfaction Guarantee:

At Mom & Pop Services, we take pride in the quality, care, and consistency of our work. Your satisfaction is important to us. While we do not offer refunds, if you're not completely happy with any part of your service, please notify us within 24 hours and we’ll make it right. Whether that means a touch-up, clarification, or correction. Please note, in some circumstances, there may be an additional charge for additional materials, if needed to be purchased to complete the job. This guarantee applies only to concerns reported within the 24-hour window.

(NOTE: This guarantee does not cover issues resulting from third-party alterations or other changes or circumstances made by you following our completed work, including changes made within 24 hours of our service. All alterations will void all guarantees.)

 

Liability & Damages:

  • Mom & Pop Services is not responsible for any pre-existing damage or normal wear-and-tear. To ensure clarity and protect both parties, we may occasionally photograph (without your approval) such damaged or soiled items, areas, or structures to document its condition prior to service. We are not responsible for any pre-existing items that are damaged and/or soiled prior to arrival.  We are not responsible for items that are soiled or damaged that occurs by you following the service we provide to you. We will notify you ASAP of any damage that 'we notice' prior to or during service, for the purpose of that clarification.

  • For exterior work being provided such as pressure washing, painting, window washing, tree trimming, rugs, etc.; please be sure to clear the area of all vehicles, sports equipment, lawncare equipment, potted plants, patio furniture, etc. from the area that is being serviced. Failure to prepare the area prior to our arrival will cause a delay in our work and possibly the need to reschedule service, if it poses a delay for our next client's appointment. In the event your service must be rescheduled due to obstructions that prevent service, you will have the next available date and time. In the event we are able to provide service on the original scheduled date, however Mom & Pop Services is forced to move the items for you, there will be an additional charge added to the cost of your estimate. The charge "per item" can be between $50-$150. depending on the size and weight of each item.
  • For interior work being provided such as carpet cleaning, painting, tile and grout cleaning, etc., please be sure to clear the area of all furniture, home decor, potted plants, boxes, exercise equipment, miscellaneous personal items, etc. from the area that is being serviced. Failure to prepare the area prior to our arrival will cause a delay in our work and possibly require the need to reschedule service if it poses a delay in our next client's appointment. If Mom & Pop Services is forced to move the items for you, there will be an additional charge added to the cost of your estimate. The charge "per item" can be between $50-$150. depending on the size and weight of each item.
  • For the safety and protection of both parties; “Clients are responsible for securing personal property—including cash, checkbooks, credit cards, medications, jewelry, electronics, antiques, nick-nacks and other fragile or irreplaceable valuables—prior to our arrival. Mom & Pop Services will not be held liable for misplaced or missing personal property. To maintain clarity and safeguard both parties, our team may occasionally photograph (without your approval) any unsecured valuables to document their presence and to explain why a particular space was not cleaned. If you would like those areas serviced, please ensure valuables and other personal items are removed from counters, vanities, shelving, and similar surfaces before our arrival. Any unsecured items will result in our team avoiding that area entirely, as we do not move or handle personal belongings to gain access. 

  • If our team causes any damage during service, please notify us within 24 hours of your completed service so we can promptly assess and resolve the issue. Please also include photographs of damaged items. Claims made after this 24-hour window may not be eligible for resolution or liability consideration.

  • Preparing for housekeeping; it is the client's responsibility to remove any and all obstructions prior to our arrival. We do not pick-up, organize, relocate, or climb over or under any cluttered areas. Items such as boxes, furniture, exercise equipment, piles of laundry, shoes, dirty towels or clothes, trash on the floor, or other personal items in order to clean a specific area. We are a cleaning business not a maid service. Additionally, we will not risk physical harm to access a specific space. If you have an area of your home that is cluttered and would like that space to be cleaned, please be courteous by clearing those areas to make them accessible prior to our arrival. In the event a particular space was not appropriately prepared prior to our arrival, we may occasionally photograph (without your approval) any obstructions left behind to document its presence and to explain why a particular space was not cleaned. Additionally, if you fail to prepare a space to be properly cleaned, Mom & Pop Services reserves the right to cancel your appointment for the day. Once that space has been prepared to be cleaned, you may schedule a new appointment for that service; however, it will be the next available date and time.
  • In the presence of hazardous materials or biohazards, including blood, bodily fluids, feces, vomit, pet waste, diapers, tampons, feminine pads, needles of any kind, or any unsanitary or unsafe conditions, these areas will be avoided entirely. (NOTE: While we do in fact provide trash removal, we do not handle trash that contains these types of wastes. You must be responsible for disposing this type of waste prior to our arrival.)
  • Mom & Pop Services loves all pets! We will treat them like our own, pet them and even feed them treats. We do however expect you to keep your animals secured away from the work location during service. We may need to exit and re-enter the home multiple times to bring in/out equipment and supplies. We will not be responsible for your pet getting injured or escaping the home during service. The safety and wellbeing of your pet is your responsibility.

Privacy & Confidentiality:

  • At Mom & Pop Services, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. Any details you share with us, including your name, address, phone number, email, and payment information, are used exclusively for service coordination, communication, and internal recordkeeping.
  • For seasonal residents and clients who provide door keys, garage door codes, security alarm, and community gate codes that you provide to access your home or office while you are out. Rest assured, your property and access information is stored securely in a locked safe and used solely for the purpose of providing your scheduled services with us. After each visit, we ensure your property is properly secured and locked before we leave, and keys are returned to our office safe.
  • All client information is stored securely and accessed only by Mom & Pop Services' owners. We may retain service records and correspondence for quality assurance, scheduling history, and legal compliance.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
  • You may request to review, update, or delete your personal information at any time by contacting us directly.

       

    Right to Refuse Service:

    Mom & Pop Services reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service in any situation that presents a health or safety risk, violates professional boundaries, or compromises the dignity of our staff and business as a whole. This includes but is not limited to the following:

    • Presence of hazardous materials or biohazards. As previously mentioned, (under liability & damages), you must be responsible for disposing this type of waste. Failure to comply can result in discontinued service.
    • Environmental concerns such as poor ventilation, respiratory hazards, or compromised air quality that may affect breathing or overall safety.
    • Violent behavior, verbal abuse, disrespect, harassment, sexual harassment, or any threatening conduct toward our team.

    • Illegal activity or any situation that may require intervention by law enforcement or emergency services.

      In such cases, we may immediately discontinue service indefinitely and, if necessary, notify appropriate authorities. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any form of mistreatment or unsafe working conditions.

    • “Failure to remit payment will result in termination of future services, and legal action will be pursued under applicable Florida statutes regarding non-payment of services rendered.”

         

    Website Use:

    • By using our website, you agree not to misuse its content, attempt unauthorized access, or engage in any activity that disrupts its functionality.

       

    Governing Law:

    • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Brevard County.
